JOEL R. SAFIR is an Associate of Vandeveer Garzia, P.C. In 1996, he graduated from the University of Michigan, with an emphasis in philosophy. That same year, he began law school at the Case Western Reserve University School of Law in Cleveland, Ohio. While at Case, Joel was a member of the Jonathan M. Ault Mock Trial Team. As such, he represented his school in the ATLA National Mock Trial Competition in the spring, 1999.

After graduation from law school, Joel spent the next three and a half years practicing law in Ohio. While there, Joel received considerable experience in the area of civil litigation, including trial and appellate work.

In 2003, Joel returned home to Michigan. Since then, he has worked for Vandeveer Garzia. His practice areas include personal injury and employment litigation. Joel continues to practice in Ohio and now practices in Michigan. He has tried multiple cases in each of these states.

Joel is licensed in Michigan, Ohio, the United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.
